COVID-19 Testing

Post

If you begin having any symptoms associated with COVID-19, like fever, sore throat, runny nose, or loss of taste or smell, stay at home and consider getting tested for COVID-19. Antigen testing kits are now widely available at several locations.

Key times to get tested:

  • If you have symptoms
  • If you do not have symptoms but have been exposed to someone with COVID-19
  • If you have COVID-19. It is strongly recommended that you test before ending isolation. Testing can also help you decide when to stop wearing a mask. If you do test, use antigen/self-tests. See ph.lacounty.gov/covidisolation for details of when to test.

Testing may be helpful in other situations as well. For instance, consider testing before an event or before visiting someone at higher risk for severe illness.

Los Angles County

At home collection test kits and in person testing is available throughout LA County. For more information, visit: https://dhs.lacounty.gov/covid-19/testing/
