Registering to Vote

Take the first step on your voting journey – Register!

There are some requirements you need to meet to register. As a Los Angeles County resident, you may register to vote:

  • If you are a citizen of the United States
  • If you are at least 18 years of age (or will be by the date of the next election)
  • Are not in prison or on parole for a felony conviction

In California, you may be eligible to pre-register to vote at age 16, and be active to vote once you turn 18 years old.
