Direct Support Professional Training Program (DSPT)- Department
of Developmental Services
The Direct Support Professional
Training (DSPT) is a competency-based training program that is
mandatory for all Direct Support Professionals (DSP) working in
licensed community care facilities vendored by regional centers.
The DSPT is divided into two equal segments of 35 hours each to
be completed in successive years for a total of 70 hours. DSPs
who are mandated to meet the training requirement, may opt to
meet it by passing the Challenge Test for each 35-hour training
program.

HRC Service Provider Enrichment Training
Harbor Regional Center provides periodic training seminars and
workshops for our current service providers to enhance your
knowledge. At times these workshops can be used to obtain
continuing education units for those individuals who need them to
satisfy Title 17 requirements. Your Service Provider Relations
Specialist can let you know when trainings are offered
that may meet your needs. If you are not sure who is your
Service Provider Relations Specialist, you may email Maria
Carmen Garibay for information.
Service Providers or Administrators may also be contacted
directly to be invited to specialized training topics.
