College 2 Career
Learn About An HRC Program to Help You Attend College!
The College 2 Career Program is an innovative post-secondary program for adults with developmental disabilities served by Harbor Regional Center. C2C offers an exciting opportunity to experience community college, student housing, and college life in a fully included setting with unmodified academic curriculum. The goal is gainful competitive employment in a non-traditional job setting.
The College 2 Career Program provides extra educational coaching support not otherwise available through the College, for selected students who are clients of a regional center. The program has a residential component in which the students also receive support and training in the development of skills needed to live independently in the community. Both the educational and the living supports are funded by the regional center.
Orientation Sessions:
The College 2 Career Program is accepting applications throughout the year. All interested applicants and parents must attend a C2C orientation before applying.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, trainings and events will be offered by webinar, until it becomes safe to meet in person at Long Beach City College. It’s important to always pre-register for sessions you wish to attend. That way, we will be able to provide you with up to date information for participation.
Check our Calendar for upcoming orientation dates. All orientation times are 6:00 – 7:30 pm. Anyone arriving more than 10 minutes late will be asked to attend the next offered Orientation.
For more information or to register for the session of your choice please contact the C2C information line at (310) 792-4528.
