Harbor Regional Center community! Register for the “Overview of the Complaints and Appeals Process” training webinar on Tuesday, April 29, from 10-11 am, in Spanish, or on Wednesday, April 30, from 2-3 pm, in English.

The California Department of Developmental Services (Department) and Harbor Regional Center are hosting the “Overview of the Complaints and Appeals Process” training webinar for individuals and families served by the Harbor Regional Center. Attendees will learn the steps they can take when concerned about potential violations of laws or regulations related to the services and supports provided by regional centers.

In this one-hour session, attendees will learn about the following topics:

  • Overview of the Department’s Office of Community Appeals and Resolution (OCAR)
  • All aspects of the complaint process, including:
    • Early Start Complaints and Appeals
    • Citizen Complaints
    • Whistleblower Complaints
    • Individual Rights (4731) Complaints and Appeals
  • Lanterman Service and Eligibility Appeals
