Curious Conversations Talking About Things That Matter

Curious Conversations bring people with different experiences and perspectives together to discuss topics they might not usually talk about. They provide a safe space to learn with and from one another.

Each session will focus on a different HCBS requirement, using Tri-Counties Regional Center’s HCBS Final Rule: The Animated Series videos to spark conversations. We’ll explore real-life situations, discuss how the requirement affects us, and share different perspectives. Afterward, we’ll break into small groups to discuss what worked, what didn’t, and what more could be possible. In the final 30 minutes, participants will also receive a conversation guide and a script to host their own Curious Conversations about HCBS requirements with friends, family members, and co-workers. This is for Service Providers, individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, family members, regional center staff, and any interested community member.
