Antecedent Based Interventions

This training is intended for Harbor Regional Center caregivers and will be presented in English.

This workshop is aimed at helping parents and caregivers learn strategies targeting what leads up to challenging behaviors (known as antecedents)  and how you can prevent maladaptive behavior, and help improve everyday life.

Topics that will be covered include:

• Identify the goals of using Antecedent Based Interventions, or ABIs
• Identify antecedents that may be triggering other behaviors
• Identify common prevention techniques that can be used based on triggers
