Family Behavioral Services
Family Behavioral Services is a unique partner with HRC for the provision of parent training in behavior management, toilet training, and social skills training.
Their basic course explores basic behavioral principles, using practical examples which parents can relate to challenging situations with their own child. Parents learn practical approaches which they can use in working with their own child, to increase desirable behaviors and to eliminate or reduce inappropriate behaviors.
Space is limited, and pre-registration is necessary to attend this series. If you have never received behavioral services, attendance at a Family Orientation meeting is required prior to attending the class series. To register, please contact your HRC Counselor about attending one of the next available Orientation Meetings, and about the schedule of upcoming course dates which would best fit your own schedule.
Workshops on Toilet Training, Daily Living Skills, and Body Awareness and Safety, utilizing behavioral management principles, are also available.
Intensive Behavior Intervention
Intensive Behavior Intervention (IBI) consists of behavior services that are provided for several hours a week aimed at teaching families tools to increase their ability to interact with their child. These services are provided to young children diagnosed with Autism. |
