The services begin with an assessment of the child’s environment, skills, and behaviors. During the assessment the parents will attend a workshop that will familiarize them with basics of the intervention and what to expect when receiving behavior services by Harbor Regional Center.
Guidelines for Intensive Behavioral Intervention Service Providers
In order to provide quality treatment, behavior service providers should attain specified levels of education, training, and experience in applied behavior analysis. Outlined here are the qualifications that Harbor Regional Center believes should be required for employees of a behavior service provider agency. The Guidelines for IBI Service Providers represent a first step towards ensuring quality service provision for Harbor Regional Center families. Behavior service providers meeting these standards will be recommended to families as preferred providers.
Guidelines for Exemplary Intensive Behavioral Intervention Service Providers
These guidelines represent Harbor Regional Center’s standards for excellence in the education, training, and experience of behavior service professionals. It is our hope that all behavior service providers will continually strive to achieve and maintain the level of excellence outlined in the Guidelines for Exemplary IBI Service Providers.
Preferred Providers for Intensive Behavioral Intervention
The Preferred Providers are those providers who have largely demonstrated adherence to the Quality Indicators for IBI Services. While realizing that many service providers do not currently meet these expectations, we anticipate that these providers will work in partnership with us in the coming years to achieve them.
Intensive Behavioral Intervention Service Providers Qualifications Survey
Harbor Regional Center is interested in continually monitoring the qualifications of the staff employed by the behavior service providers who deliver behavior intervention to our families. The IBI Service Providers Qualifications Survey requests information regarding qualifications for education, training, and experience of HRC behavior service professionals. |
