Budget Alert
Revisions to the state budget in February and July of this year resulted in reductions to regional center funding by $384million in fiscal year 2009-2010, and changes to the Lanterman Act to implement these reductions. Budget Bill AB9 includes these changes which are now in effect.

People First Settlement Agreement
Capital People First filed a lawsuit against the Department of Developmental Services, et. al. The subject of the lawsuit was the need for community living options for all individuals who were living in large institutional settings.
