For individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, Harbor Regional Center can provide diagnosis and evaluation, information and referral, individual or family service planning,  family support, and assistance in finding and using community resources.  Services provided by HRC include:

  • early intervention

  • respite care
  • supported living
  • licensed homes
  • adult day activities
  • supported employment
  • prevention services for individuals at risk of parenting a child with a developmental disability

Diagnosis and Assessment
Harbor Regional Center provides free intake and assessment services for individuals who live in the HRC service area, and who are believed to have a developmental disability.

Planning and Coordination
Harbor Regional Center works with each individual client or family to develop an individualized plan. This is called the Individual/Family Service Plan. The plan describes

The State of California has determined some circumstances for which families may be required to pay a fee or share of cost for services.
