Who Is Eligible Harbor Regional Center provides services to individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, and other handicapping conditions that are found to be closely related to mental retardation or to require the same kinds of services.
Application for Services Harbor Regional Center provides free Intake and Assessment services for individuals who live in the HRC service area, and who are believed to have a developmental disability, as well as to infants and toddlers believed to be “at risk” for a developmental disability.
Service Planning Harbor Regional Center works with each individual client or family to develop an Individual/Family Service Plan.
Services for All Ages While some Harbor Regional Services are tailored to meet the specific needs of infants and toddlers, children, or adults, other services may be appropriate for clients of all ages.
Services for Children Harbor Regional Center offers a wide variety of programs and services especially for children.
Services for Adults Services for adults with developmental disabilities are designed to support individuals to become as independent as possible, and to work towards their own individual goals for a meaningful life.
Family Support Families who are caring day-to day for a family member with a developmental disability may find valuable support through support groups, parent mentors, parent education programs and our resource center.
Family Training At Harbor Regional Center we offer a large number of educational activities throughout the year. We cover a diverse selection of topics of interest to individuals with disabilities, families, and professional service providers.
Fair Hearing Our goal is to be responsive to each family’s special needs. If we are unable to resolve concerns informally, clients may ask to review our decision through the appeal process.
